GLO Antiaging Treatment Bar in Calgary offers e-Dermastamp, micro-pen, the only Health Canada Approved Microneedling Device and the latest advancement in automated Microneedling, otherwise known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT). The skin has a tremendous ability to heal itself by producing proteins, collagen fibers and elastin, which work synergistically together to keep the skin firm, strong, supple and healthy. Unfortunately, as we age, this ability decreases and over time we see the signs of aging. The e-Dermastamp uses powerful medical grade technology to harness the skin’s natural healing capabilities to combat the aging process and efficiently restore your healthy, youthful GLO.*
Microneedling or CIT is derived from the ancient practice of acupuncture and mesotherapy. During the treatment the e-Dermastamp creates controlled micro channels deep within the epidermis and dermis. The micro wounds stimulate fibroblasts and encourage the body to release platelets and growth factors, triggering the natural healing process. The body responds by producing more collagen and elastin which generate new skin cells, thus improving the integrity of the skin resulting in stronger, thicker, softer, plumper, and firmer skin. *
In addition to Collagen Induction Therapy, the micro channels produced by the procedure allow topical gels and serums to be applied more effectively into the skin for further healing and and skin rejuvenation. Serums are customized to address your specific skin concerns.
The e-Dermastamp used at GLO Antiaging Treatment Bar allows penetration of the needles from 0.25mm - 1.5 mm. The depth and speed of the device is adjusted to ensure maximum results and provide skin remodeling treatments to a number of areas including face, neck, décolletage, arms, hands and abdomen.*

How it Works
The Dermaroller e-dermastamp® causes minimally invasive precision micro-injuries of the epidermis and dermis, without causing open wounds or ablative damage. The puncturing channels close after a short time and these micro-injuries trigger the body’s wound healing cascade, which induces an increased collagen production in the treated skin. This process triggers the construction of new tissue by stimulating healthy cell regeneration in precision-targeted areas that show the signs of aging. It effectively reduces wrinkles, tightens and thickens the skin, and – perhaps most impressively – fills and smooths scars.*
The e dermastamp's surgical-grade micro-needles reach beyond the epidermis into the dermis, causing pin-point bleeding and triggering the body’s spontaneous healing response.*
Within minutes, the perforation channels may begin to close and the healing cascade starts, invading the area with collagen-producing fibroblasts and growth-promoting properties.*
Younger Looking Skin
New organized collagen & elastin forms, bolstering from within, while the epidermis becomes thicker and more supple, each time a treatment is performed.*
What does it feel like?
Numbing cream is applied prior to the treatment. The feeling associated with the e-Dermastamp is similar to light sandpaper being moved across the skin. While some areas are more sensitive than others, the speed of the reciprocating needle tip reduces discomfort while the applied hydrating gel also makes the treatment more tolerable. Most patients rate the discomfort at 2 out of 10.*
How long does procedure take?
The procedure takes approximately 15-20 minutes depending on the size of the area treated. *
What is the downtime?
Immediately after the treatment you may notice a bright redness to the skin.
The total healing time depends on the depth of needles used and the number of overlapping passes your skincare professional performs. Please discuss the healing time with your Antiaging treatment provider. *
When will I see the results?
Patients may notice an immediate “GLO” to their skin. Visible changes to the skin may develop over the course of several days and weeks. Results may continue to improve for several weeks after the treatment as collagen production continues.*
How many treatments will I need?
Some patients may only require a single treatment, once per year, to achieve optimal results. However, it is recommended for most patients to receive a series of 2-3 treatments spaced about 4-6 weeks apart. For patients with deep wrinkles, advanced photo-aging, stretch marks or acne scars, it is recommended to receive 6-8 sessions at 4-6 week intervals.*
What distinguishes this from other treatments such as laser?
As a non ablative treatment, Microneedling with the e-Dermastamp does not remove the top layer of the skin. Certain lasers used repeatedly over time can damage fibroblast cells and lead to a thinner epidermis. Collagen Induction Therapy may help to increase the thickness of the skin and repair this damage. There is little to no downtime with Microneedling. The recovery is usually quick, it can be performed on all skin colors and types, it can be performed year round, and its primary mechanism is the body’s natural healing process.*
