Our beautiful Antiaging Specialist Branda, leads by example when it comes to healthy eating. One of her favourite things to have for breakfast or a snack is Overnight Oats. Quick and easy to make and grab on the go. We love the addition of blueberries to these; blueberries are loaded with antioxidants and help to boost brain power, health and skin!

Blue Banana Overnight Oats

Ingredients:

½ to 1 cup large oat flakes or gluten free oat flakes

1 Tbsp chia seeds (optional)

1 Tbsp sweetened or unsweetened coconut (optional)

1 cup milk of your choice – regular, rice, or almond

¾ cup fresh or frozen blueberries

½ banana sliced (can be added when making or when eating)

Slivered almonds (optional)

Using a pint canning jar (wide mouth is best) – put in oats, chia seeds, coconut, almonds, blueberries, and banana. Add your milk type product last; stir enough that the milk product is able to incorporate into the oats. Refrigerate overnight. Store in refrigerator for up to 5 days. Eat cold or heat in the microwave for approximately 2 minutes.

Variations: Substitute dried cranberries and chopped dried apricots for blueberries. Other options include raspberries, strawberries or cherries.

Tips:

** Make 5 on a Sunday then you have breakfast, lunch, or a snack all week.

** Can be made in half pints; divide recipe in half if the size of this serving is too large for you.
